Umero Modules
Umero Communications Workflow Server has a set of modules to integrate with various business applications and communcations means. These modules are classified into:

• Communication Modules
• Integration Interface Modules
• Application Connectors Modules

UMERO Communications Modules
UMERO Communications Modules are required to interact with external messaging systems like Email, Fax, SMS Gateways, Telex, Pagers, FTP, Web, Print, Interactive Voice Response(IVR) Systems, to provide unified messaging solutions that fit the messaging needs of organization.

1. Umero Fax - Enables Umero to send and receive fax jobs and schedule fax broadcast. Is able to pick up TIFF files and deliver it directly to a fax number

• Umero Voice - Integrates and supports all leading PABX systems. Provides you with the facility to convert your voice messages into a .wav format thereby offering the option to forward it as an e-mail attachment. Access your voice mail messages using the Umero GUI provided on your desktops or the Umero TUI, by dialing into the system using a normal phone from anywhere in the world. Enables you to record personalized voice messages, which are automatically played in your absence. Provides automated SMS and pager alerts to you on receipt of new voice mail.

1. Umero SMS - Provides the flexibility of sending SMS messages using the desktop as well as the generation of automated SMS alerts through the desktop to indicate the receipt of any e-mail, fax, telex and voice messages. Users can also perform SMS broadcast with Umero SMS. Umero SMS supports GSM network devices and delivers up to a maximum of 16 SMS per minute, including messages in various languages such as simple and traditional mandarin, Korean, Japanese, European.

• Umero Telex - Users can compose, send and receive telex messages directly from their desktop and any ERP/ CRM applications. It has additional features like storing and allocating reference numbers, telex broadcast, and notification of delivery. Facilitates the integration of the telex with most modern communication devices like voice, e-mail, fax, SMS and pager thereby enhancing its inherent advantages.

1. Umero Pager - Enables the dispatch of pager messages from the desktop allowing users to provide timely, personalized information through the pager. Alerts can be configured as pager notifications on the arrival of email, voice mails, fax and telex messages in a user's mailbox. Umero Pager comes with broadcast feature and supports TAP-UCP and DTMF protocols for sending pager messages through the SMPP Gateway. Supports up to 16 channels with up to 60 pager messages per minute.

• Umero Printer - Provides the ability to print Umero jobs and reports to a specified network printer. Users can choose to send any Umero jobs for printing by selecting any network printer that are available to them.

• Umero FTP - Functions as a workflow module, it receives jobs to download file from, or upload files to, any FTP servers in the intranet and Internet. 

integration interfaces
Umero integration interfaces allow legacy and custom applications to connect to Umero CW server using a variety of methods: HTTP, Java, VB, C/C++, COM, XML and structured and unstructured plain text. Alternatively, applications that can send out emails can use Umero MailGate for connectivity.

Application Interfaces in Umero include:

1. Umero Filegate (Advanced) - Allows developers to interface with Umero using a text file interface with third party application. Applications simply deposit a text file (structured text or XML) into a directory to send outgoing jobs and this is automatically picked up by FileGate. When handling incoming jobs, Umero will deposit the text file into the directory.

• Umero Mailgate - Provides users to send and receive messages via email, for example, fax, SMS and telex using your existing Exchange or Lotus Notes server. Job type domains for direct messaging for fax, SMS, pager and telex. Database lookup table capability for multiple recipients

1. Umero Gateway - Provides the gates or channel ports for Umero to talk to external applications, enterprise database and other Umero applications with Umero APIs allowing programmers who wish to use ASP, JAVA, VB, C++, C to interact with Umero CW Server. Dispatches notifications of both inbound and outbound job delivery status for all Umero modules and initiates the workflow required for processing a job type.

Ditium has developed application connectors to integrate with Umero. Popular applications like Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM), Help Desk Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems, Supply Chain Management (SCM) Systems, Document Management Systems (DMS), Accounting Packages and Databases can connect with Umero with Umero Application Connectors.

1. Alchemy - Alchemy is a leading archiving software that allows you to capture, archive, index, store, search and retrieve your documents. It improves record keeping and meet compliance requirements. Umero Connector for Alchemy connects Alchemy to Umero enabling Alchemy users to participate in Umero workflows as with other Umero modules.

• Lotus Notes - Umero Connector for Lotus Notes enables integration of Lotus Notes to Umero and participate in Umero workflows as with other Umero modules like Umero Email which provides capabilities such as e-mail broadcasts, 'Document-on- Demand' facilities, and unified messaging (for example, sending e-mail messages as SMS, pager alerts and telex messages). It also has a Text-to- Speech feature that allows the user to access e-mail over the telephone from anywhere in the world.
• MS Exchange - Umero Connector for MS Exchange enables integration of MS Exchange to Umero and participate in Umero workflows as with other Umero modules.
• Oracle Fulfillment - Oracle Fulfillment applications help you increase customer satisfaction by supporting the complete order-to-cash business flow with order management and logistics capabilities. Umero Connector for Oracle Fulfillment connects Oracle Fulfillment to Umero, enabling corporate systems integrated to Oracle Fulfillment to send (and receive) fax, SMS and print jobs.
• SAP - Umero Connector for SAP connects SAP to Umero, enabling corporate systems integrated to SAP billing, invoicing, CRM, etc to send (and receive) fax, SMS and print jobs. It connects to the SAP Gateway via non-intrusive integration. Umero Connector for SAP prevents a media gap between electronic processing and manual communication. Thus it reduces the periods of processing, handling and transport for economic processes. Also, by using Umero Connector for SAP, you expand the document format types that can be processed by SAP, for example Microsoft Word and Excel.
• RightFax - Umero Connector for RightFax connects RightFax server to Umero enabling it to participate in Umero workflows as with other Umero modules. This allows you to upgrade your system with Umero without having to purchase another fax server that is compatible with Umero server. At the same time, Umero provides production capabilities to your RightFax Server while providing access to services provided by other Umero modules as well as connectivity to third party applications, backend databases, and to other communications platforms such as SMTP, SMS and PABX.
• Teleform - Teleform is a powerful, high volume information capture solution that is capable of processing thousands of paper forms per day with superior accuracy, speed and efficiency.Umero Connector for Teleform connects Teleform to Umero, enabling corporate systems integrated to Teleform to data capture forms, documents into digital information document like word, pdf which users can send (and receive) fax, SMS and print jobs with Umero and enabling it to participate in Umero workflows as with other Umero modules.
• OCR - Umero Connector for OCR supports OCR to Umero. This service provides conversion of graphic files i.e. fax TIFF files into Word, Excel, RTF, TXT, PDF or HTML formats. CJK(Chinese, Japanese, Korean) supported export formats: PDF (non-searchable for CJK) and TXT together with similar file name. CJK OCR language options: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Multipage supported.
• Venali - Venali is a global service that enables businesses to fax over the Internet without the need for separate fax hardware, phone lines and maintenance. Internet Fax allows for secure sending and receiving of fax documents to and from any fax number worldwide from desktop, laptop or wireless devices. Umero Connector for Venali provides the communications link between Umero CW Server and the Venali service. A simple configuration routine sets up the subscriber’s Customer ID and Password, allowing secure access.
