That 'Happy Medium'
For some time now, organizations have been grappling with the need to get their enterprise systems to work as one.
They have rightly deployed best-in-class solutions to meet both their strategic and operational needs, but this has inevitably created information silos that make it difficult to integrate or share information. This has also had the unfortunate effect of business processes being developed around the data rather than the business need.
The quest for both data and process integration has evolved into what we know now as Enterprise Application Integration (EAI). It has been a long and costly journey for organizations, involving the development of complex and expensive connectors between application and another.
At Ditium, our work in developing Umero as a world-class communications workflow engine has almost literally created a happy medium.
